Ahh, Three Lakes! We loved it! Lots of water, trees, fish, and fun! We enjoyed spending time with Mark's brother, Tom, and his kids, Megan and Tyler. It was an action packed three days...we went Go Karting, fishing, boating, and tubing. We also celebrated the first of Sam's three 1st birthday parties!
The boys had been looking forward to going fishing for weeks! Thankfully, the fish were cooperative and several allowed themselves to be caught. Gabe caught the first fish of the day, on his first cast. Will named all the fish he caught and even kissed one (thanks Uncle Tom for suggesting he do that!)! Sam watched all the fun from his stroller (thankfully, he was happy to hang out there because he spent A LOT of time there on this trip). We even saw a Bald Eagle!
Uncle Tom took us all out on the ski boat. Sam did not like the life jacket at all, luckily for him (and the rest of us) he fell asleep within about a minute of us leaving the dock. Megan and Tyler, showed the boys all the cool stuff about the boat (ropes, steering wheel, hidden storage, etc.). We cruised through a few lakes...honestly, I didn't know when we left one and went to another! Gabe enjoyed lounging on the back seat and Will seat hopped, enjoying all aspects of the boat. Megan did some water skiing (she even dropped a ski and slalomed for a bit) then we went back to the dock to pick up the tube. Will was first to volunteer to get on the tube. He and I rode together, he liked going fast...just not too fast. Gabe wasn't so sure he wanted to try it out, but we talked him into it. At first I thought he wasn't going to like it at all, but as it turns out he really liked it and didn't want his turn to end.
Our last evening there, we celebrated Sam's 1st birthday. Uncle Tom got Sam an ice cream cake...a big hit for everyone! The kids loved singing to him and Sam loved the attention! After the "party", we headed over to a water ski show that Megan performed in. It was so much fun watching Megan ski!
The morning we left, we managed to squeeze in some time on the paddle boat and canoe.
Thanks Ohio/Wisconsin Pitons for all the fun!
