School Pictures

So, I'm a little late putting up Gabe's school pictures...but, better late than never, right? This year's pictures are so much better than last year...I guess he knew what to expect this year!

Where Were You 16 Years Ago?

16 years ago today, I was in Washington, D.C. attending the Inaugaration of President Clinton as part of the Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference. Honestly, I can't remember exactly how it came to be that I was chosen to go...but, I'm thankful I had the opportunity. How often do you get to skip two weeks of school and not have to do any make up work (well, aside from the report I had to do for Civics on my experience)?

I can't find my photo album from my trip, but I did manage to find a few random pictures, etc.

Rev. Jesse Jackson spoke to us...

I hung out with George and Barbara...

Some of the people in my group...

Hopefully 16 years from now, I'll be able to answer that question...watching the Inauguration of President Obama with my kids (yes, they actually watched the whole thing).

5 Months Old

Sam is 5 months old and continues to be a marvelous baby! He has completely spoiled me, but I'm sure I'll pay for it later!

He has discovered his feet and toes, is easy to get a smile or laugh from, has a constant stream of drool running down his chin, loves to eat, can sit up (though he's not totally proficient yet...still prone to toppling over!), crawl backwards (we can't seem to get that forward motion!) and has learned to feed himself. There is a time of night, between dinner and bedtime, that he loves to lay on his back and make as much noise as he possible can. He still loves his exersaucer, but has discovered in the last couple of weeks how great it is to jump and spin around in it...very noisy! He absolutely loves his brothers and they can't get enough of him!

The Happiest Baby on the Block

He has mastered the art of eating "real" food. This could be the reason he has outgrown his clothes, again...

He has also learned to feed himself his bottle!

Gabe loves to "babysit" Sam and will sing and tell stories to him. Gabe has even taken it upon himself to teach Sam to talk...currently they're working on names.
